Gmod SVN Auto Updater 2.0 Beta

Got a version ready for testing, So I am releasing it in the hopes that bugs that crop up can be squashed before final release.

Once again, Comments are more than welcome (If they are constructive :D ) and will help shape this program into an even greater tool!

Bugs:

  • Delete mod is a bit intermittent (I have yet to find the cause)
  • Download code isn’t 100% foolproof, however a failed download won’t break a re-update.

Modlist is now on a PHP-MYSQL Backend to make it easier to update, You can view it in HTML form here or in INI form here. I added a few mods to the list while I was at it, the count is now at 101 Mods!

Gmod SVN Auto Updater 2.0 Progess

Main Window Of Garrysmod SVN Auto Updater

Making some progress on a complete recode of this thing in C#, Things are much smoother now.

Changes

  • Events driven code, multithreaded (No more massive cpu usage hikes)
  • Settings program built in
  • SVN Code built in, No external application
  • Selection Saving and loading
  • Actual categories in a tree, Much easier to navigate (You can select/deselect whole categories)
  • Silent mode can load a selections file, making modifying a local INI redundent
  • Logging to file

If there is anything you’d like to see, or even some thoughts on the UI, Don’t hesitate to leave a comment!

WIP: Open Source Sim Tunes Clone

Something I’ve been working on off-and-on for a few months. I used to have SimTunes many years ago and I missed playing it, but I remember its limitations, so I decided to clone it and expand on it a little further to make it more useful and less of a “toy”.

Some of my planned features include: MIDI Output, Up to 64 individual instruments, MP3 Exporting and an easy interface to add your own instruments. That is, of course, If I ever finish it…

So far it does make sounds however the list of things to finish is still quite long before any kind of release, I need to record notes off every instrument I have access to with different techniques and velocities, Essentially creating my own sample set. This should total around 17 Sample sets.

Gmod SVN Auto Updater 1.5

I did a little tune up to SVN Updater, Nothing major, just a few fixes and redoing code I did when I didn’t know better!

Gmod SVN Auto Updater 1.5 Main Window

Changelog

  • [Fix] CPU Usage jump
  • [Fix] Attempted UAC Fix (Should prompt you beforehand, I can’t be sure I have it disabled)
  • [Change] Docked interface to allow resizing

Grab it here: http://www.tezzanator.net/programs/garrysmod-auto-svn-updater/

I Intend to release a further version with some more major changes (I Really Want to recode this in C# as I can’t stand to look at or use VB.NET anymore)
